Crash Barriers

To protect drivers from dangers that are near to the edge of the road, Crash barriers offer semi-rigid security. A typical guardrail system consists of a steel W-Beam rail mounted on steel posts with several designs of the same-material end treatments and transitions.

1. A steel post and a rail part of the "W" beam shape made of 3 mm thick make up the W-Beam style safety barrier. Segments of the steel post and spacer measure 75 mm by 150 mm and are 5 mm thick. The posts are positioned 2 metres apart, and the rail is 70 cm above the ground. A double "W" beam barrier complies with IRC 5-1998 regulations.
2. In contrast to the conventional W-beam, the triple wave shape of the Thrie Beam Guardrail has more corrugation. This design has a stronger construction and a higher impact endurance compared to items with a two-wave shape. As a result, it is helpful on highways with high speeds and volume of traffic as well as in locations with a mountainous topography. The steel post and 3mm-thick "Thrie" Beam rail piece make up the Thrie-Beam type safety barrier. Segments of the steel post and spacer measure 75 mm by 150 mm and are 5 mm thick. The rail is 85 cm above the ground, and each post is 2 m apart.
